Is it illegal to use a false address?

i am getting someone to send me some dip tobacco. but its to another address and i used somebody elses name. is it illegalIs it illegal to use a false address?
It's not illegal to send something to someone who isn't you. But if you pick up the package, it's illegal - Mail theft. Is it illegal to use a false address?
You actually answered your own question. You admitted it was a FALSE address therefore you are committing fraud.

You never tell us who this other person is, whether they are a friend, or it is a company.

As soon as you open that mail box, and remove the package that is NOT in your name, you commit Mail Theft.
It's not neccesarily legal as you have to be 18 to purchase that. So, if you're under 18, then yes. The likelihood of you getting caught? Slim to none. I would me remiss if I didn't say you shouldn't do that...you're telling lies to do it....and it's bad for you. Not a good way to do anything in life.
If they're never there, Genius, they've either stopped the mail,

(Held to pick up when they get there), are having it forwarded to

where-ever they are, or have some-one else picking it up for them.

If it does get there, taking a package out of their mailbox

is a Federal crime.

You're not getting your snuff.
If you take a parcel that the Post Office delivers to another address with another name on, it's theft.

Federal offence.

So using the address isn't illegal, taking the parcel is.
Yes, but no one is going to do much about it. Except maybe your parents. If you want to put something as disgusting as dip in your mouth. please don't.
not illegal, but retarded why someone elses??? under a false name, not address how the hell you going to recieve it??
not if you dont get caught
