most celebrites dont look anything like what we see on tv or magazines- just google your favorite celebrity w/o makeup- it will really shock you- they're all airbrushed- polished- weaves- makeup- etc
as a person who is pretty with makeup on- but not gorgeous without my own doing hair and makeup- i can say- it has a lot to do with symmetrical features and skin coloring which makes a person attractive- its part of the eurocentric beauty standard- throughout the world- you have to have the canvas to at least be able to rock any hair or makeup-
makeup works wonders- you can cover up things like short hair with a beyonce weave, or a big forehead with a rihanna or tyra banks hair cut, or acne like alicia keys has had

I completly agree with you! That is why so many men are seduced by girlie magazines! but take off the make- up extensions act act and you have an average individual like you and I. Complete with Pimples scars and cellulite. All stardom and the other industires are is just a fantasy and illusion using normal people. And believe me computers can do anything today like cover and touch-up all the flaws. Yes. The media has destroyed American concepts of constitutes beauty and what doesn't. Tons of physically beautiful people I know are jerks and idiots. We focus so much on physical beauty instead of inner beauty...it's sad really.
