False pretenses to get someones name, address, phone number, etc?
Is it against the law to email someone pretending to be someone else? Also with this ';false identity'; is it illegal if this someone pretends they are interested in buying something from you in order to gain your personal information like Name, Address, Phone Number, Etc?
What Legal Actions Can Be Taken?
ThanksFalse pretenses to get someones name, address, phone number, etc?
being cautious and skeptic is your best defense when dealing with scams
1. Never acknowledge emails suggesting offers of like free stuff, educationla '; university'; specials
2. Unless your email is linked to you Online banking, NEVER give out you social security number, name, home address and any other personal information to spam emails posting as a financial institutions
3. A trick i use is that I never use my personal email for my online shopping.
When i do my inline shopping, i have a secndary email that I use and I monitor the online stores i shop. I also verify stores I am not familar with before shopping by googling thier information online if they are similar to fraud and scams
4. If you get some email rhat sounds too good to be true, then it probably is a scam or a virus trying to get a hold of you. Delete and ignore
5. Google your own name every now and then to see if anyone is impersonating you. Im lucky i have a unique name so its easy for me to find any one impersonating me
6. You got a wierd missed call from some one claiming to be a creditor from a bank ( and some are legit)
remember that they should not be asking for your social security number
if they ask for a payment even if it sonds legit, just say that you prefer paying through the bank either by personally or by online banking. They will say there will be some sort of a late fee just say you dont mind ( better late fee than all your savings stolen)
Also google the telephone number, chances are they are a scamFalse pretenses to get someones name, address, phone number, etc?
It is ';false pretences'; but unless the intent was to use the information for illegal purposes (identity theft) then the only charge might be some kind of invasion of privacy in civil court.
if this has happen to you %26amp; you have all info on this person i suggest you retain a lawyer and pursue this event

True of false: Addressing concerns about family, money or job issues is not a factor when caring for adults?
False. If you are caring for someone, you care for the whole person and these factors have to be taken into consideration because they influence that person's life.True of false: Addressing concerns about family, money or job issues is not a factor when caring for adults?
You're kidding, right?True of false: Addressing concerns about family, money or job issues is not a factor when caring for adults?
I think it depends on the type of care you are giving. PLease define further.
it depends on the care you are providing for.
is it a father and mother that need help, are they moven in. then I'm sure you have to factor in the job and your family will be involved on a daily base.
